Oil & Gas Site Generator Power

Compare diesel and natural-gas generator options for remote energy-sector loads and site conditions.

Factory overview

What we build and what we need from you.

Oil and gas projects may have fuel available at the site, but that does not automatically make it suitable for a natural-gas engine. We require a gas composition, pressure and flow analysis together with the electrical load schedule, duty and site classification before discussing a configuration.

01

Characterize the available gas

Provide composition, methane number or relevant quality data, pressure range, temperature, contaminants and available flow. Wellhead, associated or processed gas may differ materially from pipeline natural gas, so compatibility cannot be assumed.

02

List process and utility loads

Include pumps, compressors, heaters, controls, lighting and accommodation loads with motor starting methods and simultaneous operation. State whether the set is standby, prime or continuous project power and give expected daily hours.

03

Declare classified-area requirements

Send the site hazardous-area classification and all required equipment certifications at the start of the inquiry. A standard silent generator enclosure must not be represented as suitable for a classified area without verified project-specific engineering and documentation.

04

Compare fuel resilience

Natural gas can reduce delivered liquid-fuel handling when a suitable supply is dependable. Diesel may offer independent stored energy. The project team should assess what happens to each fuel during the same event that causes loss of normal power.
