Inputs to prepare
Enter either kW or kVA and the power factor stated for the load or project. Do not assume every load operates at 0.8.
GENKVA factory calculator
Convert real power and apparent power using the project power factor.
Use kW = kVA × power factor. Our published generator classes use 0.8 power factor as the stated reference.
Interactive factory tool
Send the calculated values with your load list, fuel information and electrical specification.
Enter either kW or kVA and the power factor stated for the load or project. Do not assume every load operates at 0.8.
The calculator returns the corresponding real or apparent power and keeps the formula visible so the conversion can be checked.
Use the result to normalize a load schedule or compare ratings. It does not include motor starting, transient response or environmental derating.
Method and limits
We show the calculation and keep the inputs visible. Complex loads, harmonics, voltage and frequency dip, load steps, altitude, temperature and exact machine data can change the final result.
For critical systems, motor-rich loads or final procurement, send the result to our factory and have the complete power system reviewed by qualified engineers.
