A generator installation must remove heat and exhaust safely, provide stable fuel and electrical connections, and leave access for operation and service. This checklist helps a project team prepare the site information our factory needs; it does not replace drawings, calculations, permits or work by qualified local professionals.

Confirm location and physical access
Record indoor or outdoor placement, foundation dimensions, level and load capacity, lifting route, doorway clearances and future component-removal path. Keep service doors usable and prevent stored materials from blocking ventilation or emergency access.

Engineer ventilation and exhaust
Provide combustion and radiator airflow without recirculating hot discharge air. Route exhaust outdoors using suitable materials, support, insulation and clearances. A qualified designer must verify backpressure, fire safety, weather termination and carbon-monoxide risks for the actual site.

Design fuel and electrical interfaces
For diesel, plan compliant storage, containment, supply and return. For natural gas, confirm composition, pressure, flow, shutoff and ventilation. Coordinate cables, breaker, transfer equipment, grounding, neutral arrangement and protection settings with the site electrical engineer.

Prepare commissioning records
Before startup, confirm fluids, battery, wiring, guards, ventilation, exhaust, fuel integrity and emergency stop. Record settings and test results under controlled load. Retain model, engine, alternator and controller identification for future service and parts requests.
